Context Engineering Over Iteration

Co-authored with Amit Kumthekar at Sully.ai. The argument: context engineering and iteration are substitutes. When a first pass is unreliable because one model is doing too many jobs at once, a correction loop compensates for overloaded context. Decomposing the task so each component sees a narrower context makes the first pass reliable enough that the loop is unnecessary.
